Best Neighborhoods in Mexico City for Remote Workers (2026)
NOMADA · 3 min read

Roma Norte, Condesa, Juárez, Narvarte, Del Valle, Polanco and the Centro, compared on rent, noise, coworking and who each one suits.
Most remote workers should start in Roma Norte if they want energy and company, or Condesa if they want calm and parks. Juárez is the cheaper middle ground, Narvarte and Del Valle are where you save real money, Polanco is the corporate option, and the Centro Histórico is the most Mexican of them all.

Rent and coworking ranges from StayWork CDMX, updated August 2026, and its coworking price comparison, May 2026. Checked September 2026.
Roma Norte
The default choice, and for good reason. It's walkable, full of cafés, restaurants and bars, and it has the widest choice of coliving and coworking in the city. The trade-off is noise: streets stay busy late. It's also where you'll meet the most other foreigners, which is either the point or the problem, depending on what you came for. See coliving in Roma Norte.
Condesa
Quieter, greener and slightly more expensive, built around Parque México and Parque España. Better for couples, dog owners and anyone who wants to sleep. Fewer coliving options, so book earlier in the winter high season. See coliving in Condesa.
Juárez
Between Roma and Reforma, with Zona Rosa on one side and good transport on the other. Rents sit below Roma Norte, and it's home to coliving options such as Triver. A good middle ground if Roma feels expensive but you still want to walk everywhere.
Narvarte and Del Valle
This is where the value is. Coworking is the cheapest in the city at 2,900–3,500 MXN a month and often the highest rated, rents are well below Roma, and the restaurants are aimed at locals rather than visitors. It's a metro ride rather than a walk from the nightlife, which suits people staying months rather than weeks.
Polanco
Upscale, quiet and corporate, with the best security presence and the highest prices. WeWork, The Pool and Regus are all here. It suits people on a company housing budget or anyone who wants a calm base near Chapultepec. See coliving in Polanco.
Centro Histórico
The oldest part of the city, full of colonial buildings, markets, cantinas and museums. Busy and loud during the day, much quieter at night, and cheaper than Roma or Condesa. There's less purpose-built coworking, so check your workspace before committing to a month.
How to choose
- Decide on noise first. It's the thing people most often get wrong.
- Check your workspace second. Pick the neighborhood that has the desk you want.
- Walk before you commit. Book two weeks in one neighborhood, then decide where to spend the rest.
