The Best Nightclubs in Mexico City (2026)

NOMADA · 2 min read

Fünk, Loo Loo, Departamento, Brutal and the rest: where to dance in Mexico City, what each plays, and which night to go.

Mexico City's club scene sits mostly in Juárez, Roma Norte and the Centro Histórico, and it runs late: most rooms don't fill until 2am. The city has become one of the strongest electronic music destinations in the Americas, with sound systems and programming that pull international DJs all year.

We're building NOMADA: residences, workspace and venues for people who work from anywhere, in a historic building in Mexico City. Register your interest →

Where to start

  • First night in the city: Bar Oriente. Three floors, a VOID sound system on the main floor, karaoke rooms upstairs, and an easy crowd.
  • Serious about the music: Fünk Club, in a basement under a historic Condesa building, with a Funktion-One system and a scene built around queer and trans ravers.
  • Techno, loud and industrial: Brutal Mx, a warehouse run by the Pervert team.
  • Sunday afternoon into evening: Sunday Sunday, a Centro rooftop that starts in daylight and ends euphoric.
  • Anything goes, midweek: Antro Juan, which works on a Wednesday as well as a Saturday.
  • Late and unpredictable: Japan Monterrey, three floors of dive bar meets club.

How the night works here

  1. Eat at 9 or 10pm. Dinner is late, and clubs are later.
  2. A bar first, from 11pm. See the listening bars or the rooftops.
  3. Club from 1 or 2am. Arriving at midnight often means an empty room.
  4. Check the lineup, not the venue. Most of these places change completely depending on who's playing. Resident Advisor and each club's Instagram are the sources locals use.
  5. Take a registered ride home. Use Uber or DiDi rather than street taxis at 4am, and keep your phone out of sight outside the venue.

Where NOMADA fits

We're building NOMADA, so read this section knowing we have an interest. Our building will have a rooftop bar and a basement vinyl lounge, not a club. The clubs above will still be where the night ends, and we'll keep this list current as rooms open and close.
